Streaming Movie-
  • Guillermo Del Toro's The Shape of Water is slowly emerging as our Best Picture Oscar frontrunner this year. The film has just won Golden Lion in Venice. Del Toro is campaigning hard for that Oscar and the great new trailer for the film was just released. "Son, unfuck this mess" is already one of my favorite lines of the year.
  • Let's not waste time on me this week. Or you know, ever again. Everything is terrible and I pretty much only stay alive to see all those films I'm waiting for. I'm not gonna sugarcode it. It is what it is. I'm done thinking it will ever get better. It's not. History proves that.
  • Boo boo's inability to close his legs because, clearly, his penis is too big is quite literally the only thing that makes me smile left in the world.
  • Shameless sharing pictures of him ventilating his crotch like that.
  • He should just whip it out. It would save the electricity. And possibly end the world and wouldn't that just be the best.
  • Hugh is still promoting Logan beautifully. TIFF and Venice movies brought with them Best Actor candidates dropping like flies and all of this just makes me even more angry about Logan not being released in the Oscar season.
  • On the upside, the word is Kingsman 2 is great. I hope it does well in Box Office and Vaugh sets the third one in Australia reuniting Taron with Hugh. I think we all agree I deserve to see Hugh in a suit shooting people. I think we all even more strongly agree he needs to be shirtless and I deserve, need and have to witness that.
  • We lost Len Wein, the man who created Wolverine.
  • Jared Leto went method again. I must admit the level of either obliviousness or disregard to how much he is coming off as a laughing stock is really astounding. I mean you would think after becoming the subject of ridicule because of his Suicide Squad antics the last thing he would do is something that will make him the target again, but hell no.
  • He is a very talented guy and he is super hot and you gotta admire the Jaredconda but Jesus, what is he doing? It's getting to the point where you can't help but laugh when people wonder if, if he ever plays a ghost, will he actually kill himself?
  • But for me it's not Leto who is the story here. Denis Villeneuve straight up went full retard:
  • I always think those directors are smart until proven otherwise. Villeneuve made Enemy and Sicario so I am shocked to see that quote. I understand backing your actors but there is a big difference between doing that and comparing Leto acting moronic to "Jesus walking into a temple".
  • And by the way, I am so looking forward to Jared wearying one of those horrific Gucci rags for the premiere next month and Harrison Ford looking absolutely repulsed by it.
  • Meanwhile, Harrison shares more details about that time he punched Ryan. Yeah. Unless it's in a comedy, Gosling's face is never where it should be.
  • September brought a lot of news from Venice and TIFF. mother! opened to quite the reception in Venice receiving both boos and the applause and to much better reception in Toronto. The film is gonna get massacred by It in the box office but it is getting pretty great reviews. While I still think Jennifer Lawrence is annoying I will say that I watched the live stream from London premiere and the speed and graciousness with which she was signing autographs and posing for selfies with fans was really admirable. Also it pisses me off to no end to read the reviews from 'professional' reviewers accusing Aronofsky of having huge ego because he cast his own girlfriend in the lead role. They only began dating during the shoot. Why can't these people do research?
  • Here's Jennifer and Darren together on NYC premiere of the movie. I really like her dress there.
  • The Disaster Artist received a massive
standing ovation. James Franco may actually be nominated for Oscar for his performance.Yep, my boo boo will get nothing but Franco gets nominated. I don't hate this, since Franco is a pretty good actor and it looks like he delivered really awesome performance there. The film looks crazy fun. Here's new trailer for it.
  • Word is Sam Rockwell may FINALLY get Oscar nomination for Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.
  • A film that really surprised with excellent reviews is I, Tonyawith Margot Robbie starring as Tonya Harding. Apparently Margot is fantastic in the role and Alison Janney steals the show as her horrible mother. I read few reviews and the film sounds a lot like To Die For so I'm psyched. You may remember the behind the scenes pictures - with Robbie looking a mess and Sebastian Stan looking like he has windowless van parked somewhere
  • So I saw IT and while it's a fine movie it's overhyped as hell. I thought it was like two movies jammed into 2 hours. One was a tense horror and another was kids hanging out during summer. That in itself not mixing well was not as big of a problem as the episodic feel of all of it. A scene where one kid meets the clown, then another kid meets the clown, then another. Also the monster didn't feel this difficult to defeat in the end.  I was not surprised that the direction here wasn't very good, it's the director of Mama after all. A shame because there were plenty of better horror movies than this deserving of the success it is getting.
  • Chastain is thirsty for a role of Beverly in Chapter 2. Well obviously since she is Mrs. Flop and this is clearly going to be successful. She was in Mama so I assume the 'I know her' will prevail over reason. Come on, this one as Beverly? This is actually the first time in the history where Amy Adams would be good casting. And Sophia Lills plays the younger version of Adams' character (where she is horrifically miscast) in Sharp Objects. Adams at least has warmth to her. Chastain is like human refrigerator.
  • Claire Foy is going to play Lisbeth Salander in that reboot/sequel/whatever thingy. She is a good actress but this whole thing is just so damn stupid. We had perfect cast and director in place.
  • I can't believe this situation. Not the stalking, just that someone would actually stalk Eddie Redmayne
  • Fassbender and Vikander are reportedly marrying and I sit here, stunned that they are for real. She's so tiny. Must be like climbing on a hill. With your vagina.
  • Twin Peaks finale was great even if I only understood 10% of it. David Lynch just straight up trolled everybody. People will be wondering about what happened in that last two episodes forever. Meanwhile, Lynch shared Blu Ray release date and fairly terrible cover art. It does say third season not The Return, so maybe the end wasn't the end after all?
