Hey everyone. Captain Sean here. Since we're currently in the Christmas season right now, I thought I would do a special blog post that's completely selfless today. A blog post that isn't trying to bring more viewers and revenue to my site, but rather others. That being: other internet critics. Yes, over the last decade: internet critics have grown to the thousands. But sadly because of that: the large number of them has kind of caused some of the good ones to get lost in the mix. Well, I'm hoping to solve that problem today by shining a spotlight on my personal top five favorite internet critics. Why top five? Well, because there's really only five internet critics whose work I regularly check out. Now just to be clear: this is a very opinionated and personal list. These are internet critics I like, whose work I personally enjoy. If you have a very different top five list, more power to you. And just as a quick shout out now: many of these internet critics aren't as family friendly as me; just saying. But these are the five I really enjoy regularly watching, and I personally hope that this list causes you to check out their work, and hopefully gets them some more viewers and fans because of it. And so, here we go...

5. The Disney Brain. For those that don't know, the Disney Brain (like myself) reviews lots of Disney related stuff, but branches out into other fun media as well (like myself). Now I had actually gotten into reviewing family friendly TV shows and movies before he was ever online, and I was actually reviewing plenty of Disney stuff (most notably Girl Meets World) on my blog. But my episode specific Girl Meets World reviews, I was only publishing on my blog and not my YouTube channel. But the Disney Brain showed me that there was a market for people that were interested in videos for very specific episodes of Disney shows and movies. So I kind of just followed his example and started doing the same. Now to be clear, the Disney Brain often has different opinions than me on many Disney related things, which is fine. It be boring if we both always said the same thing. His top ten lists and many of his reviews definitely have a sense that there was a lot of passion and lots of thought put towards them. And if there's a review that I haven't covered for a recent Disney thing that's come out, odds are the Disney Brain has covered it instead. Which is fine. Now I will admit, I don't watch his ongoing reviews for shows that we're both reviewing. I actually read no reviews for any shows I'm currently reviewing such as Andi Mack while they premiere, so my thoughts can feel more fresh and different than everyone else's. But from all the stuff I have seen, the Disney Brain has some pretty cool reviews to check out.

4. SF Debris. So for those that don't know, SF Debris is an online critic who reviews mostly science fiction shows. His biggest stash of reviews are pretty much Star Trek reviews. And I love Star Trek, but I'm not reviewing it on my channel. One, because so many others have. But two, because this guy does it so well that I couldn't top what he's done. His reviews are full of very serious analysis, but he throws him some silly humor as well. But what he does is give serious analysis not to entire seasons of a show or the series as a whole, but he does very episode specific reviews. Meaning he has a huge catalogue of what has to be up to a thousand specific reviews for so many Star Trek episodes and other sci-fi shows. And he was pretty much the reviewer that showed me that if you put your mind to it, there really is a lot you can say about just one specific episode of a TV show. So I actually kind of copied his style when I did my very first review for a specific episode of a TV show. That being an episode of Gortimer Gibbon's Life on Normal Street: "Mel vs the Future"; which was a very sci-fi related story. And after that review got positive praise from the shows' writers and actors, it showed me this was a format that could work. And that later led to my episode specific review videos for other shows such as Girl Meets World and Andi Mack. So I definitely owe SF Debris for his inspiration, and if you wanna get lost one day in what feels like near infinite
amounts of sci-fi reviews, SF Debris is the guy to check out.

3. The Blockbuster Buster. Now basically this guy became well known as a buster of big movies. But rather than just be another guy shouting on the internet, his rage comes from the fact that he's so passionate about popular comics, TV shows, and movies. Many of the movies he busts are sequels, reboots, or remakes of popular media he does actually love. And it's very hard to find anyone out there that has so much passion for popular media as this guy. Even if you don't actually like the franchise he likes, you can't help but kind of admire his level of dedication to what he likes. And that makes his other reviews he does all the more interesting. That being: his honest reviews where in many of those: he will actually just gush over movies he does indeed like but still review them from an intelligent and critical analysis point of view. One reason I don't do as many super hero based or fantasy reviews on my channel is simply because: this guy does it better, and I'd rather just hear his reviews on those genres than actually write my own. Now just to make it clear: his videos are definitely more for adults, but if you are an adult: I highly recommend checking out his channel, supporting his work, and joining his legion.

2. Linkara. Now this is one of the much more famous reviewers on this list. Basically: Linkara is a well known comic book reviewer, but he also does consistent reviews for other popular media; his second most famous work: are his body of very detailed Power Rangers reviews. If you're looking for the most in depth Power Rangers video reviews on the internet, go check those out. Now like the previous reviewer I mentioned, Linkara does really riff on stuff he doesn't like. In his case: that would be bad comic books. But if you start watching a lot of his videos, not in all of them, but in many: you'll find yourself being very educated on comic book history. At the start of some videos, Linkara just gives you tons of back story related to a specific comic book, and it's actually quite insightful stuff. Plus, his tribute videos to heroes he loves such as the Blue Beetle are even more insightful. He definitely has a passion for comics along with his work. And you might not like all of his videos, but it be hard to not find a few you would enjoy. So go check out his channel sometime soon.

1. Suede. Probably one of the most entertaining internet critics of all time. Basically, Suede is a reviewer of Japanese anime. So obviously if you're an anime fan, you're gonna check out his work. However this guy is so into what he does, even if you're not an anime fan: you just love listening to him talk about this subject material he has so much passion for. And his most famous reviews are his Pokemon reviews. But what's interesting is: his reviews for the movies aren't just him talking into a microphone. No, he actually made animated versions of himself and his fellow critic friends talking about the movies. And the reviews are actually movies in their own right. The way the critics play off each other and joke and argue about their opinions, is like a comedy adventure in it's own right. And at the end of the day, Suede's reviews wind up being more entertaining than what he's actually reviewing. He's also for over a year now, been doing these amazing family friendly reviews for every single episode of the early seasons of the Pokemon anime. And they are reviews filled with so, so, so many jokes. There is literally no other internet critic out there that makes me laugh more consistently than this guy. So go check out his work now. Not just for his good insights, but if you're looking for tons of laughs too. And there you go. My top five favorite critics. If you have a few favorites I didn't mention, leave me a comment below so you can go help support their work. And don't forget, especially around this holiday season: to support all kinds of people around you. Because at the end of the day (and at the end of your life), it's not about what you did for yourself but rather... what you did for others.
