Review
I have been a huge fan of Ford and watched most of the races they won at Mount Panorama every year. Unfortunately, I didn't watch any of the other races that Ford had participated in much of Australia as well as in other regions. I was unaware of the historical event of Ford winning at the notable Le Mans race in 1966, that the movie was based on. I also didn't know about the rivalry that Ford had with Ferrari as well as the introduction of the fastest vehicle that was built for this race called the Ford GT. What really intrigued me to go see this film was not just my interest in Fords and the racing sequences, but also the two featured actors Matt Damon and Christian Bale, who consistently give amazing performances.
'FORD V FERRARI' was a three-hour biopic that captures the huge motorsport event that was set in the sixties. The film was an adrenaline rush and was boosted by Damon and Bale's credible talents. It was interesting to see these two stars portray these historical figures and their chemistry helped fuel their dynamic and balance it in 'FORD V FERRARI'. James Mangold was an interesting choice of director for this movie and has clearly outdone himself in terms of his own craftsmanship. I was impressed in the film's racing coordination that made me feel like a spectator of an actual race.
Definitely one of the most superb films to come out in 2019, 'FORD V FERRARI' is perfect for any fan of motorsport, but also lovers of biopic dramas. Nobody should miss this movie and here's hoping that 'FORD V FERRARI' will land in the race for the Oscars. I'd be disappointed if the film didn't win Best Picture.
Star rating: (10/10) Best Movie Ever
