Senami returns home to meet Kingsley having dinner.
He says he saw it was getting late and he thought to help make dinner.
She tells him she's super tired.
He invites her to sit.
She says she wants to go to bed.
He insists and she sits
He asks where she has been.
She says she didn't finish from he clinic on time, then she went out to get stuff for dinner and she felt like taking grapes so she went to get grapes but didn't find any.
He asks what happened to her other shopping.
She says she was disappointed when she didn't see grapes so she turned back.
He tries to feed her.
She takes the spoon from him and feeds herself.

Obi asks Chief's wife why she was watching him sleep.
She asks if it's a problem.
He says she's weird and they are all weird.
She asks what time he went to bed.
He says he doesn't remember
She asks if he always wakes up in her middle of the night.
He says sometimes.
She asks what he does when he wakes up.
He says he goes to pee or checks his phone.
She asks it he's sure.
He asks why she's asking all the questions.
She says it's late.
She leaves.
Obi is losing his mind.

Jonah is still with Peace.
He says he doesn't understand what's going on.
Peace asks what he's up to as it's not been long she stopped seeing his cousin Oviyon.
She fiddles with the choker on her neck as it is refusing to come off.
Jonah tells her that's she needs to take it off.
She keeps trying but the choker refuses to come off.
She tells him it shows he's not a good person.
She warns him not to come to her again.
She walks away.

Seyive comes to the shrine.
She tells Mausi that she wants to see her sister and what Mausi said about Akweyon not being her sister, is a lie.
Mausi asks if she dares to call her a liar.
She threatens to curse her.
Seyive says she just wants to see her sister.
Mausi asks why she didn't talk back then when she (Mausi) came to take Akweyon away.
Seyive says she knows she didn't do anything back then but she wants to do something now.
Mausi says Akweyon is at the shrine because she wants to be there and if Seyive wants to be with her, then she will have to stay at the shrine with her.

Sewedo comes to see Doctor Jide in the clinic.
Doctorr Jide tells him to feel free to ask any questions as he and Otogan were very close.
Sewedo asks what he can tell him about his father's last days.
Dr. Jide says Chief was in good shape even with the high blood pressure and diabetes so his death was a total shock.
Sewedo says it must have been very shocking considering his long lost son had just returned.
Dr. Jide says he understands and if he were in Sewedo's shoes, he would be very mad with the fact that Chief handed over to Obi but the boy knows nothing.
Sewedo says it's exactly what he's saying.
Dr. Jide says Obi is Miyise no doubt but he's not fit to take the seat and wasn't brought up under royalty.
He says he saw his parents and they are bloody commoners and he was asking himself how such people brought up the next Otogan of  Aji.
He says he has been looking at Sewedo and he knows her has been prepared for it.
Sewedo says he knows everything there is to know.
Dr. Jide says if Sewedo wants to fight for his right to he the next Chief of Aji, then he should know he has a friend in him.
Sewedo asks what his friendship can offer.

Folake and Obi are outside the palace.
Obi reports Chief's wife to Folake.
Folake says maybe she has figured out the truth and everything is turning upside down.
Obi says maybe they are acting this way because they are mourning the death of a loved one.
She tells him they are weird jo.
He says he just wants to move on with his life.

They see Oviyon entering the compound.
He tells Obi not to leave the compound for anything as his life might be in danger.

Dr. Jide gives Sewedo a document.
Sewedo is shocked to see it's a copy of Chief's will.
He asks how Jide got it.
Jide says he saw it in the trash on one of his visits to the palace.
Sewedo asks if Otogan really included Miyise in his will.
Dr Jide says he understands Sewedo's pain and he shouldn't worry as at least he now understands how valuable his friendship can be

Obi asks who is after his life.
Oviyon says it's Half-a-day and his boys.
Folake asks if they don't know he's the Prince of  Aji.
Oviyon says that's exactly why they want to kill him.
Folake asks Obi if she should stay with him at the palace.
He tells her no.
She leaves.

Oviyon calls his boys and tells Obi that they will watch over the palace.
Obi is frustrated.
He asks what sort of thing this is as he doesn't even want to be Chief.
Oviyon tells him to relax as he and his boys will take Aji back from the goons.

Peace arrives Fonton's house.
She sees Petunia lying on the sofa and tries to wake her up.
When she sees the body is still, she screams and runs out of the house.

The villagers are gathered in front of Fonton's house.
Oviyon's boys take Petunia's corpse away.

Iya Oviyon consoles Peace and asks how it happened.
Peace says she just came from the market and saw her.
Doris asks Jonah for his father.
Jonah stutters.
Glory says people have just been dying since the body of Iya Minasu was taken away from the village square.
She lists all the dead.

Peace laments but only Jonah can hear her.
She says she thinks it's her fault and she's tired as she thinks Mausi is upset with her.
Jonah tells her she had nothing to do with it.

Doris says what Glory said is true and it seems Aji has been cursed.
Oviyon tells them to stop thinking everything is spiritual.
He tells them to think of what the connection is between all the dead; it's Half-a-day and his boys.
He asks if they will sit and watch the goons kill them.
Iya Oviyon says it's true; Iya Francis told her she saw Half-a-day and his boys killing Moses so she approached Petunia to ask her about it to get her to confess and not let the burden be on her head but Petunia threatened her with the boys.
Doris asks if it could be the boys who killed her brother Sulah too because his death wasn't pure as he's been climbing trees since he was a child.
Oviyon says he's happy that they are angry but what would they do about it?
He says the dead are gone but they need to do something about Half-a-day and his boys

Half-a-day and his boys come with machetes.
The villagers run away.
Iya Oviyon pulls Oviyon but he tells her to run.
She runs away.

Oviyon faces the boys and calls for his own boys.
Half-a-day says he didn't come to fight but to collect his property, Fonton.
Jonah asks if he's calling his father a property.
Half-a-day asks if they want to die.
Oviyon asks what he wants to do.
Half-a-day pokes Oviyon in the chest and calls him a stubborn goat who will end up in the pot of soup.
Oviyon tells him to do his worst.
The two teams lung at each other.

At the shrine, Mausi unties Akweyon's hands and feet.
She tells her to remember she was chosen by the gods and she can't have two masters or have a normal life out there.
She asks if she thinks her sister loves her because nobody will love her like she (Mausi) does; she took her in when nobody else would.
Akweyon stares in silence.
Mausi asks what she would be without her.
Akweyon says Mausi is nothing without her.
Mausi is gobsmacked.
Akweyon says the gods rejected Mausi that's why they only speak through her (Akweyon); Mausi is an old woman pretending to be the voice of the gods while Akweyon is the voice of the gods.
She turns around and walks away from the shrine without a backward glance.
Mausi holds on to a tree to stop herself from falling down as a result of the shock.
She looks on as Akweyon walks away.
Mausi's eyes brim with tears that stream down her face.
