Hey all,

We have two absolutely mammoth ties today. Kicking off is The 100, which defeated fan favourite Stranger Things in round two, a result that isn't especially surprising but does speak to the power of the CW show. I feel like the number of shows that could beat it is relatively small, but today one of those shows is its challenger. Person of Interest, reigning champion for the past two years, is understandably favourite to make it through here. But with that in mind, the show's vocal popularity has dwindled a touch since it ended over a year ago. This is the big test to see how competitive it still is.

As a neutral who wants interesting contests, this next poll is my highlight of the round. It isn't often that we get two shows from the same universe go head-to-head, but that is exactly what we have. Buffy faces its spinoff Angel for a spot in the quarter-finals. I can't think of many potential mothership-spinoff battles where the spinoff would win, and I don't expect this to be one either.
