The story goes that a native american woman named Maggie was tortured in the house and had 3 of her toes removed in the process, hence the name three toed Maggie. Naturally the town stay well clear of the place, but Zeke and his team along with Mattie will risk staying at the property to investigate this towns legend. At first not alot happens but soon the paranormal makes it presence known, this leaves the team hoping they can help the spirit who haunts this place rest in peace. GHOST WITCH does nothing new with the paranormal, haunted house story that has been done to death, but what it does have is likeable characters. These aren't your usual teen fodder that are indistinguishable from so many other horror movies either. The whole film is well directed but it does suffer from padding in some scenes which takes you away from the story. The story of three toed Maggie is a decent one but unfortunately when she does finally make her appearance you would have rather she stayed a story. Don't expect to be blown away by the sfx involved here as this film is low budget and it is all about the story so bare that in mind when you watch GHOST WITCH.
