It Takes Two
1995
Comedy

Starring the Olsen twins, Mary-Kate & Ashley, Kirstie Alley of Cheers and Steve Guttenberg of Three Men and a Baby, this is a similar type of movie to The Parent Trap, plot-wise and a low-budget C/Z-movie, and so if you have seen that one, there is nothing here that is that new that is being attempted. There is a missed opportunity to incorporate any genuine lightweight farce and comedy and instead, it falls on the shoulders of the young girls, whose efforts go amiss. Released in U.S theaters back in the mid-1990s, it operates more like a network sitcom episode than a romantic comedy, but most of it is just bland. It takes two for one not very funny movie, and funny this isn't.

Is It Worth Watching?
