When I first bought this album on LP in 1977 I was confused. The soundtrack album "Body Love" was perfect in itself, so why was anything added to it? It wasn't until the CD was released years later that the liner notes from an interview with Klaus Schulze explained it. The album had nothing to do with "Body Love". It was a completely new creation, not an add-on or an update of any kind.
Klaus had signed a contract with Island Records earlier in the year. His first album was "Mirage". The Island executive Chris Blackwell wasn't sure "Mirage" would be a success – which is ironic because it's now considered his best album – so he asked Klaus if he could make another album like "Moondawn" or "Body Love". He remixed "Stardancer" from the "Body Love" album and he called his new album "Body Love Vol. 2", just to make Chris Blackwell happy.
"Stardancer" and "Stardancer 2" are similar, but I've played them back to back a few times, and I prefer "Stardancer 2". I can't say why, I just do.
The bonus track was recorded during the same sessions. KDM has examined the old tape and considers it to be the best of four extra tracks that were recorded at the same time. The title was invented by KDM, as was the case with most bonus tracks from old tapes. I'm sure it means something.

Stomu Yamashta called the musicians together again for a new album. It doesn't even live up to the first album. If Stomu ever called them for a third album they didn't pick up the phone.
