- Everyone say thank you to Netflix for no comments on your new posts and shorter RF. I've done nothing yesterday because they dropped Stranger Things on what is a working day for me (I hope you had a happy 4th of July, you lucky bastards in America) so I had a whole one afternoon and evening less to do things and work on RF.
- You know that scene from Trainspotting where Renton wants to quit drugs and he locks himself in a room with food and water and stuff? Other than not equipping myself with a bucket to shit in that was me yesterday from 4.20 PM to 12 PM. But I did it! I watched it all and I could safely use twitter today. You're getting a review tomorrow but let's just say that it was a terrific season. And DO watch that mid credits scene. It better be referring to who I hope it is referring to because I cried through 30 minutes of finale and anything else would be sadism.
- Melissa McCarthy may be playing Ursula in The Little Mermaid and there's a lot of people who are upset about this, arguing that she should be played by black actress. I think it's an awful casting simply because Ursula has that malevolence to her that Melissa lacks.
- To be honest, though, I have no idea why anyone is getting upset about anything to do with this movie. It's directed by Rob Marshall so it's going to be terrible, no matter who is cast.
- I'm not even gonna talk about that Ariel casting.
- This will go well.
- Here's Netflix doing their best to create hype for The Witcher by highlighting Henry Cavill's ass on the poster:
- Well, it's *not* not working.
- While Chris "I love Jesus and don't give a fuck about the animals" Pratt is still the worst person in GotG cast, Bautista is definitely the dumbest. How stupid do you have to be to not only to badmouth another film while you are in something called "Stuber", but also talk trash about a series that made your co-star famous? I hope Diesel kicks his ass.
- If Elvis saw who they want to cast to play him, he would come back to life just to die on the crapper again.
- Look at this!
- Trailer for the sequel to Jumanji. I'm not a fan of this development. DeVito and Glover taking over them instead of what happened in the first movie is weird and not funny in the slightest, except for that final expression The Rock makes. It looks like lame family comedy from the 80's, "lame" being the key word here.
- Trailer for Knives Out. Yikes all around. I am assuming I was supposed to laugh at certain lines? Well, I didn't. Everyone looks like they are trying too hard. And Rian "whoever dislikes TLJ is a sexist troll" Johnson is a nope from me. And Evans...ufff. Time isn't kind to him.
- I watched My Own Private Idaho and as much as I enjoyed all the nakedness and moments like this:
- after which I almost fell off my chair, the film was just too bizarre for me. The plot was weird, the lines were strange (yes, yes, I know why but it still didn't work for me) and I just found the whole thing challenging to get through.
- On Saturday I decided to just go for it and go see Parabellum again before everything else kicks it out of theaters. Oh, it is so glorious. "And the belt" guy is an absolute hero.
- There's my 10 bucks in this!
