Plot
Tyler Rake, a fearless black market

Verdict
This is a fight movie and little else. The plot is thin. The only draw is Thor beating guys up. If you want mindless fighting this is it, if you want anything more this doesn't have it.

Review

This doesn't have the style of John Wick or the charisma of Taken. This is quite violent, and while there are some nice fight scenes there's nothing that's as impressive as John Wick or other top movies in the genre. Extraction isn't bad, it's just going to get lost in the shuffle of mindless, on rails fight movies.

This does have a nice oner shot in the market, but I can't recommend this movie on that one scene. This is straight action with a lack of drive. Why does this mercenary risk everything to save a kid? Ostensibly he's been on dozens of jobs. At least this doesn't fall into the trope of one last big score and then he's out, but the link between Tyler's son and this job is tenuous at best. It's an excuse for Thor to go into beast mode for an entire movie.

My biggest gripe would be the how we got here trope. I hate when movies use the trope because it's an acknowledgment that their opening scene can't carry water so a scene from the end is used to ramp up expectations and excitement.
